Drum Major

Angie Bowers

Well Angie has sure been around our regiment! Joining along side her special needs project about ten years ago Angie has covered most aspects of the society from humble beginnings in the pike block, then going through the musket and artillery in no time before taking up the drum and gaining her present rank of Drum Major.

In between times during our living history displays she has valiantly slaved over the hot fire getting ready the soldiers lunch followed by dinner, then donning different kit to take part in the displays.

As if that were not enough she has also played her part in organising living histories, marches and displays in and around the Dorset area. For all this hard work over such a long time Angie was awarded a Silver Griffin a few years ago at the annual Whitehall Parade.

These are the attributes that the society notices. What is not always so noticeable is the fact that whilst she is performing as well as she is, Angie also has her hands full with her long time partner and bad influence  who is always dreaming up evil ways of antagonising her!!
